Space Shuttle Program managers will meet today to review repair work and testing data for space shuttle Discovery's external fuel tank. Technicians at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida continue to modify 32 support beams, called stringers, on the external tank to increase the structural support of the stringers. The work is expected to be completed by the end of next week. For more details on past work, click "View archives."
The next available launch date for Discovery's STS-133 mission to the International Space Station remains Feb. 3 at the opening of a window that extends through Feb. 10.
